Just got back from a holiday where the door of the apartment was badly damaged by a door frame. Of course we complained but apart from leaving the apartment we had already paid for we had to reinforce the security of the door. The door itself was not damaged but we were concerned that it would be easy to open. We fitted our portable door lock and now the door was completely locked. It's very easy to use, but I have to admit, when I first got it I couldn't figure it out. However, we played with him a few times and figured it out. It doesn't work on all doors, as we found out at one hotel, but for the most part it will fit almost any 'regular' door. It will now be part of our usual safe travel arsenal.
