I drive a 2011 ML350. When the pedals arrived they were individually wrapped. There was a layer of residue/darkness between the plastic dots on each pedal. I assume this happened during processing but I hope they were cleaned before shipping. They look a little better after brushing with a sponge. The installation was a nightmare experience. The gas pedal went in 30 seconds, easy, easy. The e-brake is not suitable for this machine, so put it aside. Now you're left with the brake pedal. I take off the old cover and get to work. The clouds part, the sun shines, the crowd gathers. People cheer and watch in amazement as I keep being defeated by this little piece of plastic and metal. Half an hour goes by and I'm still huddled under the wheel, sweating and swearing, trying to get this "quick" job done. The crowd is disappointed. Is that what you wanted to see? Beating your champion for a simple car task he completed after changing wipers 19? At this point I take a knife and make small cuts in the corner of the plastic molding. After 15 minutes I really hit the brake pedal. The crowd applauds. I'm just a ball of sweat and frustration. I walk in and the applause continues.
