Review on 💦 Optimized Cooling & Construction with NZXT H510 Computer Components for Water-Cooled Systems by Nick Nigerson

Use AIO if you're worried about thermals!

Ok so read the reviews, watch the video of all these concerns with thermal issues in this case due to the front glass. From the start I wanted to add an all-in-one (AIO) CPU cooler to my build. So I did. In my opinion, the case itself is very well made. Very easy to use, allows for perfect cable routing. I didn't have that much of an issue with the lack of drive trays, and yes, I agree that it's a little inconvenient to unscrew the entire drive tray to install drives, but hey, I don't plan on swapping drives every day , so get over it. The only thing that bothers me about the case itself is the fact that NZXT and pretty much everyone else can't just come up with a standard RGB plan to make them all universal. I was using a different brand of AIO so I can't sync it with NZXT, nor can I sync my RGB Fusion 2.0 materials as they don't work together. So in this build I'm stuck with three different brands of RGB. Did it turn out fantastic, IMO yes. So at least for me the structure was just great, everything worked as it should. The price is a bit steep for the case, but you get 2 x 140mm RGB fans and a non-RGB 120mm rear fan along with the NZXT RGB controller. So if you decide to use all NZXT for your RGB, you're good to go. In terms of thermal performance, even with AIO on the CPU, I wasn't happy with how warm the case was inside, so I decided to add a thermal sensor. Sensor inside the case and change the temperature curves accordingly. This was built as a gaming rig so the CPU wouldn't wear out as much as the GPU, so I added another thermal sensor to my GPU's CPU (where possible) and reset the temperature curves on the back. and top case fan according to the temperature of this core temperature probe. In all of my stress tests, the case temperature never exceeded 60°C (23°C at ambient), the CPU never went above 76°C, and the GPU never went above 73°C, all after an hour-long stress test. If it was an air-cooled system I would be in trouble for sure. But for me I don't have. Overall, I'd recommend this case if you plan to use fans and love NZXT's RGB software, but if you plan on creating your own RGB, don't go for the Elite. I hope this review has helped someone.
