Review on 🚪 Wright Products V920WH White Standard Duty Pneumatic Closer for Screen and Storm Doors by Mariealphonse Seattle

I decided against this item after much comparing - I bought this to replace the existing closer on my Emco (Anderson) Storm Door. Not sure if this is original but this model number was placed on the door when I bought my house. The closer works as intended and effectively closes the rather heavy Emco door. bent (but still working) when I bought the house so I first replaced it with the same model # I bought at Lowe's. Both the original closer and the 2014 Lowe replacement were marked "Made in the USA" directly on the cylinder. . This replacement (same model number) purchased from Revain in December 2016 is made in China (marked on packaging only, not actual product). So the production was apparently shifted to China. I can't comment on durability for the reasons the first two were replaced: I've found that if my storm door doesn't fully close sometimes and it's a high wind day, the wind will blow the door with such force inflates that it pulls the closer, its butt bends the shaft and almost tears the bracket out of the door frame - this is not the closer's fault; It's just the design of my house (door position + angle), a common place with high winds and I'm not sure the door is completely safe. After realizing that this was the cause of the breakdown, I installed a chain limiter. It's been half a year and everything works great. I haven't seen any rusting issues as other reviewers have reported, although where I live is fairly humid. Overall, a great and inexpensive direct replacement.
