My first unit had some issues but I still give it a 5 star rating. Why? Because Plugable has impeccable customer service and because the replacement they sent me after SEVERAL personal email responses to technical queries has been reliable for almost 2 years. This company obviously cares about their product and making sure what you receive works exactly as intended. Even for a techie like me, there's a bit of a learning curve, especially since there's no documentation included with the package. Take the time to read the information on their website and understand what types of devices each port can power and take the time to determine if this will provide enough power for all of your devices. The key is to understand the wattage/amperage of each connected device. I currently have a Bamboo tablet, mouse, powered external hard drive, multifunction printer and 3 USB charging cables (USB micro, USB mini and Apple Lightning) connected to mine and there are never any hiccups. If you have a powerful device like a tablet, then you should pay special attention to the specifications of these devices, especially since Plugable has many options. Notably, my original purchase had a bad power connection, so the hub was essentially without power, although the blue lights came on. When their support team found that the red light wasn't coming on, indicating the hub was powered on, they very quickly sent me a replacement. Since then no problems.
