Transfer rates are device and USB host controller dependent. Full plug and play. COMPACT DESIGN - Two convenient vertical USB ports with a sliding panel to protect ports from dust when not in use. Easy to diagnose device connectivity with separate per-port blue LEDs for each attached USB device and a red master power LED. COMPATIBILITY - Compatible with all USB hosts that support USB hubs including devices such as the Wii, PlayStation, Xbox, TiVo, Windows, Mac, and Linux/Unix computers at USB 2.0 speeds up to 480 Mbps. Works great with video game controllers such as joysticks/joysticks/HOTAS. I play a lot of flight sims and space games and my Simpit sits across the room from my PC on a long USB extender to the built in USB hub on my Saitek flight yoke but I lost the power supply so it was just one USB hub with no power supply and if I plug too many controllers into it I would run into some problems as some of them would lose signal. So I got this powered USB hub and hooked up a feedback joystick (Logitech…

4 years still works great

I bought it in February 2014 and it's still working. All ports work, the power supply delivers stable and sufficient power. There were no failures due to the hub itself. Surprisingly, the build quality isn't up to par. You can press down on the area slightly and it flexes slightly, which happens whenever you need to secure the hub by hand since the device is so can simply be slid into the sides. The power connector and mini-USB connector (for connecting to a computer) are loose; They are a bit…

Great product, great company

My first unit had some issues but I still give it a 5 star rating. Why? Because Plugable has impeccable customer service and because the replacement they sent me after SEVERAL personal email responses to technical queries has been reliable for almost 2 years. This company obviously cares about their product and making sure what you receive works exactly as intended. Even for a techie like me, there's a bit of a learning curve, especially since there's no documentation included with the package.

Nerd's Eye View in Hubs

Arkview Aquagate and Replacement 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub Overview 7 Model USB2-HUB-AG7 SN 9901002A03183 This information is located on the bottom of the case. The test report is written for both products, as they only differ in two rather minor aspects. They have the same form factor, contain the same PC card, and use the same NEC hub chips. They have different wattage power supplies, and the plug-in has a diode that prevents the 5 volts on the hub from being sent back to the main computer. I didn't

Perfect fit for your Pi

I've spent the last week wrestling with a really cheap 7-port USB hub that's still available at Revain for about $5 (avoid it ). I had 2 of these cheap hubs, one with a 1A DC adapter and the other with 500mA. Since EVERY USB 2.0 port must supply 500mA, these DC adapters weren't just a joke. You are offensive. Whoever designed and manufactured them thought the best way to take advantage of the limited power was to load the device with a dozen or so brightly blinking LEDs that didn't actually…

Works as expected as a powered hub for TCL ROKU TV

A while back I ordered a "USB 2.0 to Ethernet Fast 10/100 LAN Pluggable Wired Network Adapter" compatible with an old ROKU TV, which had no RJ45 LAN port. The USB LAN adapter worked, but sometimes after I turned off the TV and put the software in deep sleep mode, it stopped powering the USB port, after waking up, the USB LAN was not recognized, and I had to turn off the TV restart get it working again. Also, I use OTA TV and wanted to use TV Pause and at the same time I needed a high speed…

Worked great from the start

This powered plug in hub plugged into the USB port on my Dell Win 10 laptop and worked right away. All my external peripherals work. no trouble. I didn't know this hub was USB 2.0, but my external HD is fast and lag-free. Happy as can be. Update 5/13/2019: I've found that the Pluggable Hub can momentarily fail if I remove my laptop without explicitly disconnecting the hub from Windows using the Secure Removal Utility (system tray icon for removing USB devices). If this happens, the best course…
