Both hinge screws fell out while my kid was driving. No problem, I thought, I can buy another screw at the hardware store. The problem was that all that's left with the screws contains a spring. There is no replacement spring, it is made specifically for the brake. I've tried a few workarounds but couldn't set anything up for the spring mechanism. I ordered another brand, I hope they get better, they are rubbish. This screw should never loosen during normal use. You could probably put the locknut on the other side instead of that one, but it's too late for me. I ordered these because the reach for my baby hand was shorter. They did better, it's just a shame they didn't fall apart.
