This product was suggested for use with the Echo Show 5 flush wall mount. It actually works as described in terms of splitting and converting POE to the correct voltage for the show. The problem is that the device is HOT and not easily warm. I would never want to place this unit in a wall cavity with that much heat build-up. Who can say that this heat will corrode this device over time. Also, when plugged into the back of the Echo Show, the Show plus ports are too deep to fit in a 3.5-inch wall cavity. The unit comes with an oversized barrel connector and an adapter to adjust the size of the connector to suit the show. It must come with a suitably sized fork or a right-angle fork.
