Empty packaging, simply packed in a brown cardboard box with some cushioning foam. Appreciate the lack of a lot of lavish packaging but wish some instructions were included, absolutely no paperwork, not even a receipt or packing list. Put one in the aquarium light, I think I may need to change the light to remove the ballast/starter as it only turns on and off, hard to tell because there are no instructions (maybe not, they have that cable not). come off them, which I see on models from other manufacturers). I put it in another unmodified aquarium light and it worked fine, no flickering, very bright. I'll figure out what to do with that other light, it's just a little annoying but based on how it's done in a light works that works it would give 5 stars if there were instructions.
