Review on PolySmooth Filament by Polymaker: Achieve Layer-Free 3D Printing by Charles Salgado

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Give up grey, white works better.

Gray paint has no consistency when it comes out of the nozzle. I have an Ultimaker 2+ Advanced and have tried everything. This filament is said to be very sensitive to moisture, which explains why prints don't produce smooth layers. I've also tried taking the filament straight out of the box and printing, but got the same inconsistent results. When printing a layer, the extrusion stops for a microsecond, resulting in the formation of a gap in the layer.

Pros
  • No tangles and no moisture
Cons
  • No instructions
