Review on AVerMedia EZMaker 7 USB Video Capture Card: Convert RCA Composite, VHS to DVD with S-Video | Cyberlink Media Suite Software Included | Windows 10 Support (C039) by Mateusz Roczon ᠌

There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

This device has a huge disadvantage. When capturing video, through any program, the image at the top of the screen leads to the left. That is, this device gives distortion. Also, if there are some artifacts on the VHS cassette, in some places, on the video, then the device cannot hold a stable video signal and the image starts to twitch in different directions. Apparently this is the problem with all external USB devices of this type, regardless of the price category. Before that, I had a cheap AverMedia AverTV M135-C TV tuner and there were no distortions. This device also does not output a signal from DVD players, game consoles such as Sega, Super Nintendo, Dendy, and PAL regions, not to mention NTSC.

Pros
  • Convenient to connect. Can be put away in drawer when not needed.
Cons
  • Distorts the image. Does not pick up signal from game consoles, DVD players, etc.
