Review on πŸ”§ 10-inch Tongue and Groove Joint Pliers by Raymond Wade

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for home use

'Channel Lock' pliers but that is not correct as it is the name of the company that invented the 'Straight Jaw and Groove' pliers design and even the trademark and owns the patent for this kind of product. The company eventually changed its name to "Channellock" in 1935 to establish and maintain an association and trademark with the popularity of this invention. These pliers are riveted, so it is not possible to reduce the gap between the jaws of these pliers given reason instead of a screw or bolt it adds durability and requires some clearance for the jaws to open, the handles seem strong enough but we'll have to see how they hold up over time. The grooves or bites are deep enough for a grip.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not sure
