Good to have a good pliers tool

Not much to say about these pliers. They are simple pliers. They have a good grip and were easy to use and easy to handle. They were comparable to other larger brands I've used in the past.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

Great grip, a bit overpriced

Quality pliers with a very comfortable grip. It held up well even under significant torque, the metal held its shape and didn't peel. Not sure about durability as we haven't had it for over a month. If they warp or otherwise fall apart next year I will update this review accordingly.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Minor issues

Smooth work and seems well done

I've used them a few times so far in some tricky situations and they are comfortable to hold, easy to open and adjust and appear to be fairly sturdy and well made. Time will tell how durable they are. I expect the red coating on the handle to fail first if it has a weak point, but so far it's holding up well, so who knows? For an unnamed instrument, they appear surprisingly high quality.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

  • Negative Impression

Easy to grip - extra strength for weak hands

I can't use my old bare metal pliers anymore so they came in handy. I have arthritis in my hands and a weak grip. They have handles that are easy to grip and increases my grip strength, making it easier for me to turn things when the jaws are wider and the handles are close together. I have an external faucet with a round valve that is very stiff and difficult to turn. These pliers make a big difference, I can turn the valve with much less effort and more precisely. They are well made quality…

Suitable for home use

'Channel Lock' pliers but that is not correct as it is the name of the company that invented the 'Straight Jaw and Groove' pliers design and even the trademark and owns the patent for this kind of product. The company eventually changed its name to "Channellock" in 1935 to establish and maintain an association and trademark with the popularity of this invention. These pliers are riveted, so it is not possible to reduce the gap between the jaws of these pliers given reason instead of a screw or…

Pretty good pliers

I find tongue and groove pliers to be a must. I have previously had a pair of Channellock(tm) pliers that I received decades ago as a young lad. They still work well but I thought it would be nice to have a larger pair as well (I had smaller hands when I got the channellocks) so I bought this pair of Sunex. Compared to my old channellocks, a pair of Sunex is fine, but not quite on the same level in terms of fit and finish. I immediately found that getting the tongue to "find" the groove when…

Good quality, pliers that feel good in my hands

I usually use tongue and groove pliers as a general purpose tool to get various things done on the go. These are expensive pliers that appear to be of good quality, but with tools like this I have learned that the only way to know how good they are is to use them for a long time and see how they perform keep. Groove Joint Pliers asked, I love the insulated handles on these pliers more than some of the pliers I currently own. The cushion is a bit thicker than my tongs and feels good in my hands.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Nice set of pliers with small problems

I chose these pliers for my tool bag. I have worked with other Sunex hand tools and have been happy with them and have been optimistic about this set of pliers based on that experience. You have not disappointed me. They're not perfect, but they're worth it and they do their job. You have 6 settings you can use and they are all pretty easy to set up. They're a bit difficult to customize (rough in this context means resisting customization, not difficult). At the tightest setting, there's a…
