Very important! for handling equipment
Let's face it, these skates don't cost more than $1,000. They are aimed at the budget conscious consumer who won't be spending as much money on a skate car (like me). I've only used a couple of these (with the SSKT-3 Steerable Skate) to move about a ton (my mill is in Bridgeport) but they worked great for that. I have also used them for other 1000# devices. Very soft. They are light enough to move around with no problem. I wish I had had this years ago; maybe I would have avoided the hernia operation. A good lever (I used a Grainger 29AK54) is needed to mount the gear onto the skates. A nose lifter will also work.
