We have a large shower with two independent valve handles and no thermostatic or other control valves. I love having my water controlled by me, plus we only keep the water heater at 125F anyway. So we redid the shower and decided it would be foolish not to replace the 17 year old valves while we had access. We bought two as we actually have two independent showers in one large cubicle. Our plumber easily covered them with PVC and securely attached them to the 2x4 with straps. We bought a set of Coralais trim/handles which look great and each valve only goes to the shower head (no bath). It is 1/4 turn from full off to full on on each side. The valve has a very solid and satisfying feel, and when you get to the end of its stroke it's not soft - it's firm to the touch. The plumber believes that they should work well for a long time. I like them because plumbers love Kohler - they are well made and replacement parts are always available. I am happy with the purchase. It was a great price.
