Review on Neoteck Portable 3.5Mm Headphone Amplifier With Bluetooth 5.0 Receiver, Two-Stage Gain Switch, 16-150 Ohm HiFi Earphone Amp, Aluminum Matte Surface by John Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Impressive connectivity and amplification

I am one of those who miss the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the I-phone. I tried several bluetooth adapter/amp but these did not have enough juice to drive my high impedance headphones (Senns, Beyers & Hifiman planars) successfully. I used the bluetooth adapters as pre-amps for my portable amps (several incarnations of FiiO and Topping) to attain connectivity and upgrade sound quality. While it worked, I had to deal with tricky and sometimes clumsy mounting, connection and equalization issues. The Neoteck NTK106 is by far the best answer because it provides bluetooth connectivity and decent amplification in one neat package. I am very happy with it. I can't wait for Neoteck to come up with an update with a 2.5 mm balanced/3.5 mm unbalanced output and possibly more juice (headroom). A few of my friends will find this Neoteck in their Christmas stocking. Thank you Neoteck.

Pros
  • it's wonderful the difference in sound quality is just amazing, thank you very much
Cons
  • I tried the Bluetooth and it sounded worse. Also when plugged in it didn't sound so great.
