Review on Moen T2151BN Brantford Posi Temp Traditional by Chris Cooper

We installed the Moen-Posi-Temp valve in the wall using the depth ring provided. This will adjust the depth of the flap from the finished wall to allow the finish to fit properly. Well, it doesn't fit. The photo shows a gap of about an inch between the grip and the pad. I called the Moen and they said it was NORMAL! The photos they use to sell this faucet do not show this gap. They show the handle almost flush with the plate, as it should be. Moen's only "solution" is to sell you a pickguard extension ring for about $100! but that only gives you 1/2 inch and doesn't completely close the gap. Also, spending $100 on a ring is crazy (and ring reviews say the colors don't always match). Very bad Moen design. Should have gone with Kohler or Delta.
