Review on πŸš€ Reese 1391300 Explore Rooftop Cargo Basket, Simple Assembly 125 lb. Load Capacity by Matt Reid

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good value for money.: Cargo Management

It took 2 attempts to get here. The first attempt made it to the first shipper hub and was returned due to damage. It comes in both a box and a showroom box. It comes in a decent package so you won't have a hard time getting it delivered to you. My situation must have been someone's bad day. Anyway, Revain processed the return and I've ordered a replacement. Very easy to assemble. 3 pieces per frame. A few small screws, Attention: 4 screws without the end of the self-tapping screw go to the fairing. I had just enough hardware to feel like an almighty wizard. After assembly there was a few twists and tried to bend. Feels super hard. The rubber grommet over the fittings isn't as noticeable as I initially expected. Installed and centered on my van. Looks great. Drive 30km to work. I did notice a little extra noise from the turbulence, but not very disturbing. 70 mph wasn't as loud as 55 for what it's worth. There's nothing inside, and the fairing offers a bit of downforce. I will use it for many things, bulky bags, firewood. this is real I know a reliable way to build a bike rack there, but I can't recommend it to anyone as of course it's not meant to be used. I would say it's an easy job. Certainly not as strong as racks from Thule, Yakima, KΓΌat etc. For the price, simplicity and comfort this really is an unbeatable solution.

Pros
  • ELEGANT, AERODYNAMIC: The sloping front screen reduces drag and makes the basket more aerodynamic.
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others
