I'm a small person. After moving the seat forward in the car, I found that the seat belt was way behind me. I used a carabiner on the headrest post and threaded the seat belt through the carabiner. This means that the seat belt is always just above the left shoulder. This works for me and I'm glad I found the right size at 4 inches. 3 inches is too small, 5 inches is too big.
