Review on πŸ” Enhanced Magnavox NB500MG1F Blu-ray Disc DVD Player with HDMI, 1080p Upconversion, and SD Card Slot by Alex Winnick

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good entry-level Blu-ray player

We got it as a Christmas present and the kids were very happy to launch it. Finally they could watch the Blu-ray movie they got last Christmas! Pros: Up and running in less than 5 minutes as there really aren't many ways to go wrong (if you can read the instructions and connect the cables!). As for permissions etc we just plugged it in. Face the "old fashioned" CRT TV - flat screen might come next Christmas! Once everything is set up (I'm a man after all - read the guide after setting it up!) there are settings for all sorts of functions. Maybe the guy who had grainy resolution on his 720p can check if HDMI is set to "Auto" instead of "480". there are some indicators on the front but no display of minutes, tracks etc. i've read the manual and tried various things but it doesn't seem to be there. Verdict: Overall easy to set up and easy to use, I would have no problem recommending this to anyone so far (we need to look at reliability). Slow loading is a feature of every Blu-ray player I've used over the years.
