SECC: Commercial Grade Electrogalvanized Cold Rolled Steel. Commonly used in ATX computer cases from the 90's and early 2000's. For modern cases, I'm not sure. My understanding is that "cold rolled" is harder than standard steel, but I'm not a metals expert, not even a bit. I needed this for a specific purpose, using my Ryobi cordless drill to cut a 120mm hook into an old computer case. Keeping the revs high and not pushing too hard seemed to be the key. In any case, the drill I have doesn't look like a HEAVY POWER. But the center drill went through the steel quickly, and the hole was cut out as soon as I realized the engineering had done an amazing job. It left VERY sharp edges, like any hole saw I think. I used a dremel with a sanding wheel to smooth them out. I actually used the spare bit that came with it to drill the 4 screw holes needed to install the 120mm fan. I probably should have, but didn't use oil or anything like that. I also liked the plastic case it came in. Happy buyer.
