Update Bought two remote controls as spares. One works great and the other doesn't connect to a TV but works with the Xfinity box. Works XR5 v4-R. The only one that doesn't is the XR5. The big difference between these versions is how easy they are to program. Have now contacted the seller with an offer to exchange or return the money.
