Review on Valterra L32CS000 Knob/Lever Lockset: Secure your space with this unbeatable lockset by Delbert Potter

I bought this lock to replace a 70's Bargman when it popped up in the search bar when looking for a Bargman replacement. But it's not an easy replacement for the Bargman that Dutch Craft had in 1974. Bargman has a square mortise shape, and this is a standard set of household locks with a round hole, just a lever inside. is it necessary to use it? First you need to fill the factory hole in the door, then reduce the thickness of the door by 1/4 inch, and finally drill a round hole. (You should cover the door with a 1/4 inch thick board as the lock will only work on doors that are 1-3/8 inch or thicker.) This allows the lock to be installed. You will also need to adjust the locking plate. However, you then have to remember to open the sliding panels in the lattice door, since the lever, in contrast to the original lock, protrudes too far and the door does not close properly. So there's nothing wrong with the lock itself, it's just not the direct replacement for the Bargman that I was looking for.
