Valterra L32CS000 Knob/Lever Lockset: Secure your space with this unbeatable lockset Review

Bought to replace the door knob on my 1976 Shasta caravan. Changed myself in 10 minutes, fits well. The first one didn't close stably, but I contacted the seller and he immediately sent me a replacement. The second works great and I was happy with the customer service.

Perfectly fits and replaces old motorhomes. In our case we replaced an OEM lock from an early 1980's camper van and it fit perfectly and worked with the original lock as well. Overall this is excellent value for money. The lock's toggle switch is large, similar to a regular home lock. Highly recommended.

I bought 2 of these for my vintage caravan. Both packages have been opened. No work to keep my door closed. The part that enters the gap of the door moves and allows the door to be opened even if it is locked. I have not contacted the seller. I am not paying to return them to a company to sell to someone else. Very disappointed. My old unit would at least keep the door closed.

Took ALL my tools out as I expected there would be problems installing this lock set. Turns out the only tool needed was a #2 Phillips screwdriver! The lock set is designed for RVs, so unless you have something really weird, it should work. It is adjustable and the adjustment range is scaled for RV doors. Quick and hassle-free installation.

This is great and seems to be better quality than my last spare pen! The handles appear to be made of quality materials and good fittings. Except for the plastic seal for the outside, that's nonsense. I tried to use it and it was rubbish. I highly recommend painting the outside of this pen. I found rot and decay in the RV doors from not sealing properly.

I would give 5 stars but it didn't work for me but I liked the price. I bought this for my 1990 Fleetwood/Mallard trailer. The lock fitted the hole easily, but when I tightened the screws in the handle, it locked the mechanism so nothing moved. I've tried shorter screws with no success, so I had to back out the screws 2 or 3 turns to get it working. Works great as long as you don't tighten the screws.

I couldn't find a handle/lock that opens and stays open when opened from inside the RV (Scotty '86). I ordered this one and was skeptical as it doesn't work like the old one. My booking was canceled after using it on our first hike after installing it. The handle/lock is VERY strong and looks very nice both inside and out. Was pretty easy to install. After getting used to making sure it's unlocked when exiting, I'm very happy with this purchase.
