I bought two of these to control the temperature in my daughters room. They sleep much better in warm temperatures and my husband and I sleep better in cooler temperatures. There are three settings: fan, low speed, and high speed. There is also a dial for how hot the air should be blown. Turn on the high speed to the medium temperature setting. It has a soothing buzz that also acts as white noise, helping my girls sleep through the night. While playing, we make sure they don't touch the heaters, but they're safe for kids and won't feel hot if they temporarily disappear from view. Be careful not to cover them, let them tip over. or otherwise disturb. This can pose a major fire hazard! As long as the clutter doesn't get in the way and the kids don't have direct contact, this is a great product. I look forward to using it as a fan in the summer.
