My old bug deflector broke when a branch fell from a tree and hit it. I believe the old one is the same brand as the new one I bought. Took off all the dirt and grime to prepare the surface. First wash with soap and water, then Goo-gone to get rid of the old double sided tape, and then scraping with a plastic trowel. Then I thoroughly dried and then wiped with isopropanol wipes. If you do all of this the double sided tape works great. Don't apply it to a dirty surface!Also follow the directions for placement. Only remove small portions of the tape at the ends and then place. Then when the placement is right, remove the rest of the tape by pulling the tag ends (this is also shown in the directions). Then press hard to fully apply. Works great and sticks really really well.
