I'm slowly switching to SSDs for external storage as I travel for photography. I bought a Samsung T5 SSD and I'm impressed with its size and speed. I bought this special transport case and am very enthusiastic. It's exactly as advertised, with a bonus: you can easily slip a second T5 in. (I always keep my external hard drives separate in case one gets lost or stolen, but you can double this case if you like.) The case is very strong and durable. I assume you could drive your car over it and damage the SSD, but that's unlikely. It is advertised as 'waterproof' which fits the description perfectly. If you want to waterproof your SSD you can zip it up and then put it in a case I suppose, but I probably won't have to. Highly recommended.
