CONTE Paris pencil sharpener!

Throw away scalpels, utility knives and band-aids (to protect your fingers from cuts). This is an honest sharpener for Conte a Paris (and similar sized pastels)! One of the most popular qualities of Conte pencils is their large 5mm diameter. It's also one of the most frustrating things when it comes to sharpening them. After purchasing a dozen or more sharpeners, all promising (but not doing!) to adjust Conte's girth. This sharpener WORKS! I have attached 3 photos, 2 of which show "Pierre Noire 2B" Conte and a sharpener. The third photo is just the back of the sharpener, "KUM Wood Cutter" (made in Germany). Although it is a small portable block of wood. The Conte pencil sits comfortably in the hand and can be sharpened in just a few turns. As pictured, this sharpener has a rounded tip (similar to the new Conte pencil). I still haven't found a sharpener that creates the preferred long point. KUM also makes a manual, two-stage, long-tipped sharpener (probably my favorite sharpener of all), but unfortunately it doesn't match the Contes. However, I am over the moon that I found this little wooden gem worth $3! I've already ordered half a dozen more to give out around my studio and a few to stash. Thanks for reading, - CC, Revain Prime member and reviewer.
