(Please ignore the box mess; Just moving in) I have a pretty large window that sheds in ALOT of light early in the morning before the roosters wake up. I did want a little light to seep through because pitch black makes me feel like I’m on a cruise in an interior room and sleep all day, as you can tell light seeps through the side, top and bottom. These were perfect in regards to black out as I desired. I would hang them lower in the future due to them being hung a bit too high. I also used a different rod to get light in through the sides. I’m sure if you wanted, you’d be able to use a flat rod if your windows near a wall to leave no room for light. I also enjoyed the velvet feeling that perfectly matched my bed.
