I rarely give 5 stars: They arrived quickly, as expected. They match my wires perfectly (straight). They appear to be durable and suitable for their application. Others have left reviews saying burned out but I think this refers to a different product with a different use. I bought 8 brown-beige high temperature spark plug wire sheaths. I used them in a 1997 Chevy 454 RV. The previous wires were severely damaged by overheating, melting and cracking. I replaced the snapped wires with the same new wires and added these boots. The boots are installed by disconnecting the wire from the spark plug and putting the boot on so the ring is on the toe side/bottom/outside/never put on the wire. I've read about a lot of people having problems with the ring. The ring is needed to keep the sock from slipping on the wire. The ring is never put on the wire, that's the end of the sock, not the beginning. Do not attempt to install boot from distributor/coil/ignition side. This product is awesome and should work just fine and while it may touch engine parts it shouldn't have any reason to ignite. The time will show. My option was to replace the spark plug wires with $200+ ceramic and silicon wires. I think these $20 boots will do the trick. In any case, at high temperatures it is often necessary to change the wires of the connector. I don't change $200 wires as often as I should, but I will change $55 wires and if the boots wear well I will continue to use them.
