I bought this instead of the MirrorTap brand to save money but I deeply regret that decision. I ran a wire from the mirror to the fuse box. First, the safety valve is defective. DOES NOT DISPLAY 12V fuse output. I tried connecting it to a 12V power supply to see if it's really bad. Luckily I had some spare parts in the shop, so I grabbed one, checked that it worked on my stand and installed it. The second reason is that the connector that plugs into the radar detector itself has not been properly crimped. I had power to the end, but I had to recompress it to make it really work. While I was lucky and was able to fix both issues since I had the ethernet crimps and a spare fuse, I definitely shouldn't have had either of those issues. The 30 minute install took almost 2 hours after all the trial and error to fix the issues. DO NOT BUY.
