The perfect gift for children or just an everyday item. My kids were constantly playing around with other couples' settings. This usually leads to an endless "Dad, I can't see" fight. This "auto focus" feature is not entirely accurate, I would say it is FIXED FOCUS as there is a distance between 50ft and 100 yards that will focus perfectly. Anything closer or further away is not seen very clearly. They are great for backyard bird watching and the soft plastic cover is very durable and will likely withstand many falls and light handling. I have 5 boys and will update this review if I see that it may be damaged and what it cost.
