For those who want a real scanner that does what it says on the tin, PLEASE DO NOT BUY!

I have been an ASE technician for over 25 years. I bought it the other day in my prime because I wanted to see if this little device really did everything it said it would. Received it today, plugged it in and then downloaded everything I needed with no problems. It scans for basic OBD codes and does basic monitoring like most handheld readers you can buy. However, this honeymoon with this little guy is coming to an end. Upon further research, I found to my dismay that you only have to pay to unlock these advanced features and that your access to these features only lasts for one year. So you essentially have to subscribe for a year to use them for your own purposes. all potential. This is unacceptable. It's unreasonable to pay yearly to use a device that needs to offer all the features that any other wearable competitor would offer up front without any strings attached. I will return mine as soon as possible. Don't waste your time or money with this Chinese money pit that extorts money from you every year just so you can keep using what you've already paid for.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires outlet
