Mine stopped after 60 days. I found that the main seal was leaking, causing scale to coat the ceramic shaft and shaft housing. I used a metal mesh for the laundry drain hose (don't use steel wool!) to effectively clean both surfaces and we're back in business. I would recommend checking before returning or throwing it away. I'll try to seal the mainshaft oil seal with silicone grease, see what happens. This is a great pump if you're willing to tinker with it a little. It would be very useful to have a filter on the device!
