If you have dogs, and we definitely have, you probably put together some wooden collars (we had three) to keep dogs out of certain rooms or your house. Our two mini dachshunds figured out how to climb up the wooden gate and we didn't know what to do next. We were about to turn one of our solid interior doors into a Dutch door, but before we could get our hands on the saw we decided to order and try the Cardinal Auto-Lock pet gate. BINGO! Easy to install, easy to use, and dog-safe! It helps to have a semi-skilled male partner with power tools who can hang the gate properly. Ours are set up not to automatically close, which is handy if you plan on going in and out of a room more than once at a time. A gentle push closes it and a little harder push activates the latch. I give this product all five stars and an A+++ rating!
