Review on Dorman 746 148 Door Lock Actuator by John Young

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Ford Winstar 2003 works great.

Works great, looks a little different than the original part. The Winstar door panel is very easy to remove. The four locking bolts need to be loosened so you can pull the locking mechanism towards the plate holes so you can see it. The most difficult thing is to remove the lock drive from the lock, it's hard to understand how to do it, and that's why I'm writing a review. As someone said, don't try to loosen the three levers attached to the door lock or the inside will pop out. You move the door lock actuator away from you to the outside of the vehicle. The door operator has two curved brackets that fit into the plastic rails. I saw no clearances to prevent slipping. Behind him is the support rod and I removed it beforehand by loosening the screw. The power cord connects well. The drive has a lot of power and works well.
