Unless of course you need to read in the dark.

Ok, yes it works. It has an amazing amount of features for the price. It has bugs and quite annoying ones. A real "torch"! Just don't call it that. Call it "2 Lumens Reminder to Bring a Flashlight". And then there's the backlight. Cool down this time to save battery. It's NOT cool that the wait time elapses just long enough to focus and start reading the screen. It should be about four times as long, or have the function of turning on until you turn it off, or the off timer starts when the meter has been inactive for a period of time. It's not something to keep in a toolbox. It's pretty delicate, but if you're like me you've got a few little bags and the like to put in your toolbox. The box it comes in is perfect for that. In general for the money why not. I almost got it back because of that stupid backlight, I won't lie and I'm not the only one who scolded it for this, so it's not just me. Literally 10 seconds. If you're in the dark and need to place and hold the sensors in a certain way, the screen will go black once you're positioned sufficiently and stably enough to read the meter. You swear, bang your head against the hood, curse again, and repeat. DAS will kill that gauge, a nuisance to the operator causing structural damage during a rough landing from a flight over the yard.
