Review on 🎨 Caran D'ache Supracolor Metal Box Set Of 18 (3888.318) - Innovative Art Supplies for Enhanced Creativity by Kelsey Brown

For $35 I'd happily buy something a lot cheaper and with more colors to choose from. I thought I might mix a few colors to get the right shade of brown and orange to paint an orange kitten with tiger stripes. But instead I have a purplish brown and a very calendulated yellow-gold-orange. As I said, I've tried mixing brown and orange to get a great golden brown, but the raw sienna (#069) has way too much red. The umber is also very red. You would think there would be a nice orange color somewhere in my picture, but I am not happy with the results from these pens. I've also found that even though I've used the side of the hatch pen, it still leaves pencil lines. They don't seem to go well together at all. At $35 for only 18 pencils, I made the mistake of ordering them. I read a lot of reviews before buying and thought if I don't buy good quality I won't be happy. Unfortunately, I am still not satisfied with these pens.
