This is an excellent product for turning on and off the USB cable connected to the device. It does not transmit the data that is stated in the product description, it just switches the power on and off. I tested both cable devices and both worked correctly as described. I plugged one of these into the USB cable running from my laptop to my laptop's cooler (which sadly doesn't have an on/off switch) and it worked as described by turning my cooler on and off, but then on this one Period My wireless mouse and Logitech keyboard have stopped working. I found that the problem was that the Logitech Unifying receiver was plugged into the USB port on the cooler itself and was therefore preventing any data transfer. I then plugged the Unifying receiver into the laptop's USB port and the mouse and keyboard worked fine. I would give these wired devices 5 stars but not for their wiring configuration. They come with reversed connectors on each end of the device. So when you plug in these corded devices, they end up with the power button on their head. I had to twist the two wires coming out of the cord box 180 degrees so the UBS symbols were facing up so the power switch was in the correct position when the cord box was plugged in. Bad quality control.
