It's possible I'm doing something wrong, but you need to freeze a small ice tray that spills easily and then place it in the holder relatively unprotected. Also, one has to fill the chamber with water from which one can easily pour water on all the electrical components and spill it later when moving the device. It also covers a very small area when working. I could only imagine it would be useful if you were sitting at a desk and it was pointed no further towards you than your computer monitor is sitting.
