Perfect fit for late 90's Trek 700

. Got a free Trek 700, I think it's 1997 or 1998. It fits like a glove. If you're worried it might be too high, just grab this one and lower it down if necessary and adjust the handles closer to you. You have a lot of customization options that you can do with it. I could even go higher if I wanted, but I would need longer brake cables. But I like it, huge improvement. The only downside is that with the stem raised you can't check the tightness of the main bolt that attaches to the fork. I don't think it's a big deal but I usually go through everything once or twice a year so it will be a bit more work but that's ok. Also, I'm not sure if you can tighten or loosen the horizontal screw it pivots on since it's just a black cap. Feels like metal, I don't know if it will come off. I will have to research more. ** So just an update, it seems to wobble a bit when pushed hard from side to side. This is normal on most bikes, but I like a nice, tight handlebar. You can't tighten the horizontal pivot zone, it's just a big pin. Although it seems strong.

Pros
  • . High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
