I really hate the check engine light flashing, that 'Oh no!' feeling - and when you plug in your handy OBDII device it tells you 'Small smoke leaks'. (Damn!) *** UPDATE *** This is a leak. after receiving. NOT GOOD, buy elsewhere. The auto parts replacement cap really cured the CEL code "Small Evaporative Leak". The gasket on the gas caps wears out over time, and there's a good chance that's the problem. This replacement lid does it GOOD! It looks and feels exactly like my original gas cap, and my only minor complaint is that the tether strap is pretty darn difficult to attach (tip - use sliding pliers pressure). ***EDIT*** ...and it leaks just as badly as the one I replaced. The price isn't cheap - hopefully that means the quality is high, time will tell. nope avoid it
