Very good hook - no more numb fingers! Unlike other reviewers, I don't have arthritis. I have another condition that makes my fingers go numb, especially when touching cold metal objects like crochet hooks. Hence my search for an all-wood crochet hook that actually knits. Now I've found one, a Brittany crochet hook. The crochet hook should be smooth inside the hook, catch the yarn without snagging, have a pointed but not sharp point, and be strong enough not to break. This is the first wooden hook I've found that meets those criteria. Furls Tiekwood probably meets those criteria as well, but is a bit out of my price range. Made from birch wood, this hook is strong, sleek, very pretty, and affordable enough that I could invest in multiple sizes. I look forward to crocheting so my fingers don't go numb (or accidentally burn them in the summer).
