AS Advertised. It lasted several minutes. to figure out the settings, liked the beep when it's hot enough to use the batter, it was spot on, didn't spill. I have made beautiful golden waffles, I was totally blown away by the ease of use the first time I had one. Cleaning was easy, wipe down with some vegetable oil, store upright and reuse. This waffle iron is highly recommended for both beginners and old hands. PS forgot to mention, the beep goes off when the waffle is done, I liked mine a little more golden so I let it cook a little longer.
