Ordered these after getting tired of wringing my hands while riding the hilly sidewalks and roads of Colorado. Keeping cool in cold weather (requiring the addition of mittens in the winter months, which really works) while staying comfortable in the scorching heat make the perfect palm protector. I was once riding my quads 30-40mph down a steep hill nearby when a kind of resonant frequency was hit and my right foot just had to sing along. The result (relevant to the review, ignore the blood) is what you see in the attached image. About 5% of my left side was on the road as I lazily rolled home, but my hands were completely unharmed. It took me weeks to regain that 5% enough to get back up and skate again. However, thanks to these wrist guards, my hands were saved. A few months later, those wrist guards still work, and the scars remind me not to do stupid things like that again. 10/10 Worth the investment.
