With a slight sheen, no tangles, very thin but strong
So far so good. I'm learning to knit lace and this yarn is my first silk purchase. It has a nice subtle sheen and came with no tangles. I rolled it into two balls so I could tie it in half so I could work with it without worrying about the strand getting tangled. It was in a very loosely twisted bow with a small piece of yarn tying it off about every 6 inches.
