I ventured with a Chinese spare part, but it came incredibly quickly (literally in a few hours) and after inspection it turned out to be a very good spare part. The connector in my car's wiring harness was a bit off center in the aluminum housing which meant I had to modify my car's connector a bit to get it in (a bit of dremel work) but from what I've read on various blogs that this is a common problem is, so I was prepared and knew why the fork wouldn't seat properly. It puts out 14.3 volts, just like I expected, and runs smooth and quiet. The off-center connector is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars.
