I had a situation where an underground drain pipe was lying next to a brick wall and touched the wall. Therefore, it was not possible to install a standard drain pipe connector on the drain pipe. This connector is ideal for installation inside the drain pipe and does not require any free space outside the drain pipe. Worked great for my application.
