First of all I have to say that I have been using this product for about 10 years with pleasure and have never had a problem. What has changed? 1. I wanted to buy a new cartridge, but I couldn't unscrew the previous case to install a replacement cartridge. So I ordered the whole unit to avoid disappointment.2. When it arrived I connected the hose to the faucet and as soon as I turned on the water and pushed the button the hose broke. Tried several times with the same result. Finally I gave in and called a plumber. He also failed to keep the hose in place. He was able to unscrew the old case with tools and install the cartridge. This should have been the end of the story.3. After passing water through the filter several times. even once for a full hour I still see visible residue in the water. My plumber agrees.4. I asked a question here and was told to call the company.5. I called the company several times. I posted a message on their website. There was no answer. I understand these are difficult times, but please don't sell anything if you can't wait. UPDATE: I ordered a countertop like this from Apex. The support team actually answered the phone and were very helpful in answering all of my questions. I would follow them!
