I may have just been unlucky but I would not recommend this grease gun based on my personal experience for two reasons - lack of durability and most importantly, POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT! After years of struggling with leaks that are difficult to refill with grease guns, I spent a lot of time looking at reviews and settled on this one. Unfortunately, a busy year left me little time until this spring to use this product. I like to use things for a while before reviewing them and was very happy with this product until installing my second tube of lube and the parts fell out when removing the empty cartridge. The vent valve is broken. I have no idea how the button above broke. (top right when holding the grease gun) I'm very careful with my gear and can't figure out how this even happened. When they called the company they took me to a technician who gave me a part number and told me the warranty was expired. He said they would not sell me this part, I was told to buy it from the seller. He gave me a name which I later checked but was told they didn't have that part! I've been looking all this time for a small detail that I still can't find. Almost $40 with taxes and now it broke after 1 tube of lube. I guess I'll fall back on a 30 year old leaking grease gun that still works. .Such a shame. If they sent me a replacement part or sold it to me at a reasonable price I would just fix it and all was fine. I will no longer be sitting here at the computer on the phone and trying to find a replacement part! As a customer, I don't feel valued at all. Even "Sorry, you have a problem with your product." I will no longer consider Alemite products for my shop!
